Field Trips

Through out the school year we will venture out of the classroom and visit places in our community, parents are required to trasnport their child and attend as noted. We do not have Field Trips in November or December due to the Holidays.

Special Days

Some days at preschool are extra special, these days are ones that are different than normal days due to either the activty we are doing or a special visitor coming to see us.

Sunshine Preschool Pumpkin Patch In October we will meet at Carleton Farms . The cost is $6.00 per child and $1.00 for each adult. All siblings are welcome. Please let us know if you are not planning on attending. The children will get to do lots of fun activities and bring home the pumpkin of their choice.	Sunshine Preschool PJ Day We are having a PJ Party!!!! in February Everyone is invited to come to school in their “night clothes.” We are going to make Jimmi’s Mix Together for snack and watch a Fun Video while we snack. PJ’s are not necessary but are fun!!!	Sunshine Preschool Mitten Day In January we will be playing with our mittens, If your child has a pair of mittens or gloves, please send them to school on Mitten Day. We will be working with the story of “The Mitten” by Jan Brett and talking about winter weather. Please be sure that your child can definitely identify his or her own mittens. (In case of duplicates)
Sunshine Preschool Grocery Store In May our class will be visiting the Grocery Store. We will be meeting at 9:45am in front of the by customer servie The tour will start at 10:00am and will take about one hour. The two parent volunteers that signed up will join the class on the tour. We realize this is different from our normal schedule. If you are having problems with picking up your child early you may want to coordinate some arrangements with another parent. Parents who wish to stay at Safeway and wait	Sunshine Preschool Fire Station The Wonderful Marysville Fire Station 62 brings the Field Trip to us in Feburary. The children will learn from Fireman Dan all about what to do in case of a Fire. Please take the time to discuss with your preschooler the papers that come home each of the 5 days preceding this field trip. Fire Station 62 is located in the vicinity of the Marysville Pilchuck High School, at the intersection of 108th Street NE and 51st Ave NE/Shoultes Road. Sunshine Preschool is going to Bridges Pets in Snohomish to see what kinds of things we can learn about Animals. Sunshine Preschool Nursery In April we go to Sunnyside Nursery Meet at the Nursery on this day Cost is FREE We will be meeting with the Nursery staff and the kids get to learn about Nature and how plants grow, they will get hands on and Plant a flower to take home with them. If possible, send it in a throw away container. Absolutely any vegetable or fruit is OK!! Fresh, dried, canned, frozen, etc, is fine. If it is a vegetable or fruit the children aren't familiar with, you might send a picture or a whole vegetable or fruit as a visual aid. (We will return the “whole” vegetable or fruit to you.)
Sunshine Preschool Graduation Our Spring Concert and Ice Cream Social is your opportunity to hear some of the fun songs your preschooler has been learning and enjoy some Ice Cream with the friends you have made this year. Invite your families and come and have some fun.
